Curved timber wall framed by soft grasses with Su Curved timber wall framed by soft grasses with Summerstone fines underfoot. Nestled into the hillside, this fire pit has become a quiet place to sit and enjoy the garden with or without a fire going.

Originally planned in concrete as a formed and poured wall, my clients cleverly reimagined it in timber and were able to construct it themselves.

Chambrè Estate is full of charm, cleverly renovat Chambrè Estate is full of charm, cleverly renovated by owner and interior designer Jessica Dodd, with beautifully styled accommodation, expansive parkland lawns, and a bush-meets-farm backdrop that captures the spirit of Margaret River just minutes from town.

During a collaborative on-site session we looked at how to transform a struggling patch of lawn into something more purposeful and flexible for weddings and events.

Framed by existing trees, the space naturally lent itself to a circle, a shape that worked with the site and offered infinite ways to use it: face the afternoon sun, a feature tree, or adjust with the seasons.

Symbolically, the circle felt just right representing eternity, wholeness, and a love with no beginning and no end.

A simple idea, with room to grow into many beautiful moments. (Even a pickleball court!)

In collaboration with the talented Katy of @svalbe In collaboration with the talented Katy of @svalbe.co , we set out to create a design that frames and celebrates the Cape to Cape landscape.

We introduced strong, clean lines of local granite walls in the landscape to ground the home within its surroundings and highlight the vineyard and national park views.

A terraced seating area with a built-in fireplace was designed as a sheltered retreat from the southerly winds, offering an inviting space to gather and connect with the landscape. Together with a plunge pool positioned to capture the northwest aspect, the design creates a perfect place to watch the sunset as it falls down the valley.

A physiotherapy appointment, when Emmi was a baby, resulted in the opportunity to design a back yard fire pit.

A series of renovations to the home over the years led to the design of additional areas in the landscape including an alfresco space and the front garden. A planting palette mix of natives and succulents, with low water requirements, perfectly suited this coastal location.

Through a collaborative design approach with our clients strong and ongoing relationships are formed.

Gentle mounds, designed for privacy layer across the site, aiding in management of water runoff. Local granite boulders inspired design opportunities with their organic form contrasting the clean straight lines of the home.

Climate adaptive species tie into colour palates of surrounding native vegetation. There is an open lushness here that doesn’t ask much, providing a space for our client to relax and enjoy.
