At Topio  we see the landscape as an essential part of the home – shaping how a place is experienced and how daily life unfolds both indoors and out.

A thoughtfully designed garden anchors the home to its setting, softens the architecture and creates spaces for gathering, quiet retreat and connection with the natural environment.

Working primarily across the South West of Western Australia, we design landscapes that feel grounded in place and evolve beautifully over time.

How We Work

Each landscape develops through a considered design process that allows ideas to evolve from the qualities of the site and the way the garden will be lived in.

Landscape Consultation & Site Workshop

Projects begin with an on-site meeting where we walk the property together and explore how the landscape can respond to the architecture, site conditions and surrounding environment.

This session establishes the overall direction for the landscape and forms the foundation for the design process.

Concept Design

Following the site consultation, we develop a landscape concept that establishes the spatial structure of the garden – shaping how outdoor spaces are experienced and how they connect with the home.

This stage brings together spatial layout, levels, material direction and planting intent within a clear landscape framework.

Documentation & Implementation

For projects progressing toward construction, the concept design can be developed further into more detailed landscape documentation to support implementation.

Where appropriate, this stage may include planting plans, materials schedules, construction details and coordination with contractors or consultants.

Documentation provides greater clarity during construction and helps ensure the landscape is realised with care and consistency on site.

Design Investment

Landscape design fees vary depending on the scale and complexity of each project.

Projects typically commence from $4,500 + GST
