Every landscape is shaped by its site, the architecture and the way it will be experienced. Our design process brings these elements together to create landscapes that are connected, functional and enduring.

Initial Site Consultation

The Initial Site Consultation is an opportunity for us to meet on site, walk the property together and develop an understanding of your site, your goals and the opportunities unique to your project.

Together, we’ll discuss how you’d like to use and experience the landscape, identify key site considerations and explore the overall direction for the design.

Following the consultation, we’ll prepare a tailored design proposal outlining the recommended scope of work, project stages and design fees.

Landscape Design 

Once your proposal has been accepted, we return to site for a collaborative design workshop to begin developing the landscape design.

Together, we’ll explore ideas, test possibilities and resolve key design decisions, creating a landscape that responds to the site, the architecture and the way you’d like to experience the space.

Following the workshop, we’ll prepare a Concept Sketch illustrating the design direction developed together on site. This provides an opportunity to review and refine the design before preparing the final Landscape Design documentation.

The final documentation is prepared as scaled drawings that communicate the resolved design. Depending on the project and scope, documentation may include the overall spatial layout, levels, retaining, hardscape, planting design and other details appropriate to the project.

Landscape Design is typically offered as a fixed fee, with the scope and deliverables clearly defined in your proposal.

Design Support

Where appropriate, we continue to work with you, your builder, landscape contractor and other project consultants during the construction phase to help ensure the design is realised as intended.
